Aside vs Granola
The closest comparison, and the one that made us build this. The advanced models, and every note older than thirty days, sit behind the $14 plan.

Aside vs Otter
Otter meters you by the minute and trains its models on what you record. 300 free minutes is about five one-hour meetings.

Aside vs Fathom
The most generous free plan of the three. The cap is on the summaries: five a month, then a chronological transcript.

Aside vs Wispr Flow
The newest of the four, and it records the way we do. Their Notetaker is on the free plan, and their pages do not say where the speech becomes text.

None of them let you own the output.
Granola, Otter, Fathom and Wispr Flow keep your notes inside their own product, and you read them through their app. Aside writes every meeting as a Markdown file into the folder you picked at setup. That file goes into Git or Obsidian, and it still opens with Aside deleted.
Rent Aside for $8 a month or own it for $79 once. You get the same files either way.
